Toro graduated from The University of Wyoming with a B.A. in Arts and Science, with an emphasis on oil painting and printmaking. Soon after graduation, Toro became part of the Laramie Mural Project and started painting murals with them. Since then, he has been a part of a The Cheyenne Mural Project, Richmond Mural Festival, and Pabst Blue Ribbon Mural Contest. Throughout these projects, Toro has had the joy of planning and executing many large-scale, colorful murals and even smaller moveable commissioned pieces.
His love for Wyoming and the people around him drives a lot of why Toro enjoys murals, as they become a gift and part of the culture. The Front Range and mountains mean a lot to Toro and he looks to enhance the cities and towns around these regions with color and art. Toro strongly believes that the arts in cities improve the livelihoods of the neighbors and people of these areas.
